Grand Opening Kyosho America Mini Z Race November 16. We will make track bigger with a new layout. Racing is Free! Free Hotdogs and Hamburgers. Doors open at 10am with racing at 12pm. Come on out and race some Mini Z with us!
I attached the graphic.
Yes, this overlaps the large open call Midwest event but as has been pointed on in their post comments, this is meant as a locals grand opening event vs. invitational and well, nuff said really. Some individuals don't pay attention to context in posts and open to misinterpretation/misunderstanding. Not exactly immune from that here on a forum either
I wish them the best of luck and despite seeming misgivings, looking to assist in advertising and making sure people are pointed in the right direction from this neck of the woods

didn't see this post before posting it here but both relevant threads.
Yes, there were some minor common variety misunderstanding since its hard to track any story line on faceballs due to its scattered nature but If things go right there should be plenty of opportunities for interstate Z-racers to enjoy bigger events at their facility ... this is simply their inaugural mini-z race which they'll also be using as a feeler to further structure all class rules ... I guess I should also mention I visited this track last Saturday.
Thanks for the link to the cup series. I wanted to make sure they have a home subforum here as well. Please be sure to share your experiences here of their location. Please also let them know that we are here as a community to support them, MZR as well.
Please also keep us informed of the rules and classes. This is always of an interest to me given I run a program in a retail store and looking to keep apprised of how other retail locations handle their program. From a brief glance, it looks like they want to stick with Kyosho Cup style rules. That will be an uphill slog I can tell you from experience.

Will do 👍.
Kyosho cup rules for stock-production class and their "other" classes (SS/Mod/AWD-mod) on the flyer likely will end up more open to kyosho and other hop ups.

Better late than never, I totally forgot post race info sharing until the Remnant race thread jogged my memory just now:
The Kyosho Production class was run exactly as the rules from the event flyer per Gentlemens agreement so there was no official tech even though there was a Kyosho booth and staff for general promo...quick walk around each pit and it was obvious everybody was sticking to all the rules so no issues. my own Box Stock car had some sort of a flu that day which i couldn't figure out so had to skip racing this class which I was so looking forward to but glad to report Bobbyz of Malibu MiniZ took the win for this class!👏👏 So this was the sole Kyosho-only class of the day.
The main class for the day ended up being Super Stock with all other equipment open and a 3rd class called Kyosho Super Stock was added to accommodate a bunch of RWD's who had popped in a Xspeed in their cars mixed in with a couple of new drivers with 3500/nimh cars. the rules for this class ended up being open equipment too.
Had Ok SS runs in qualifiers good for TQ, but the rear wheel got broke pretty much on the first lap of the main in a pile up so had to nurse the car for the rest of the race through a whole set of lengthy bobbles ..surprised I ended up where i did...first place car a full option PN2.5 w/square pack lipo's had a good clean run.👍
Depending on weather temps not deeping below freezing () group of us from L.A. looking forward to making the trek to the high desert for Coyote Hobbies End of year Club race this Saturday.
