Lancer Evo VI Parts Questions

Just a couple of questions about my Lancer Evo VI WRC AutoScale body.

It has black wheel nuts, but I don't believe they go on a real Mini-Z. But I do see photos of what is claimed to be the equivalent ReadySet, and they have black wheel nuts. However, my ReadySet was the red Viper, so the wheels are grey and the wheel nuts are white.

So if I put my Lancer wheels on my Mini-Z, I will be using white wheel nuts, not black ones.

Are wheel nuts supposed to come with the AutoScale body set? Where do I get black wheel nuts?

(I note that the Overland Red Pajero has proper black wheel nuts.)

Another question about the Lancer Evo VI body concerns drilling holes for LED lights. Where exactly should I drill them? Sure I could guess, but I want it to look authentic. Specifically, where in the rear should I drill?

Please post detailed photos if you have any.

Wheel nuts don't come with Autoscale body sets. At least not in my experience. The black 'nuts' that it comes with will only work with the dummy chassis. As for the black wheel nuts, they should be identical to your white ones. If you really want the blacks for the color though, just ask your LHS, or other people who have Z's. Some are bound to have upgraded to locknuts and have no further use for the stock wheel nuts.

mlepage,

you should look into upgrading to colored aluminum wheelnuts. you'll be suprised how much nicer they look compared to plastic ones. they're more durable and best of all cheap (around $5/set).

check out Dialdn's ferrari avatar w/ cherry red wheelnuts to get an idea. your car may not be a ferrari but the lancer is red and white.

speaking of lancers, where did you get yours? in fact, does anyone know when more wrc bodies will hit the states?

WRC Body

I'm in Canada not the U.S.

I just ordered my WRC body and an Overland from Hong Kong. It was painless and quick.

black or white...

black or white wheel nuts that is the question...

actually i'm more partial to black wheel nuts... so whenever i get a set of white ones, i just color them black with a black pentel pen...
