i think i do remember reading that fateful incident a couple years back... and it's nice to know that durability as well as looks are indeed a quality that one will consider when getting these rims...
I know I'm grave-digging here, but only recently stumbled upon Square rims & then a little later, this thread. I think their BBS's are my favorite, though the ones with a bunch of spokes look pretty pimp paired with the right body too. (and I typically don't like that style rim) I believe them & Team Atlas make some of the best looking Z wheels out there. I hope I can pull off as good a paint job/edge on my newly ordered set, as deanoliver did with the ones on his McLaren.
Actually what're on the way right now are 3R rims. I thought I'd try & paint the spokes white, leaving the lip silver, similar to how the rims are on the real Calsonic R32. Seeing the mentioned McLaren's rims painted reminded me I'd had the plan to do so a couple years ago @ this point.
