Mini Z Drag Racing is here Look and respond

I have been working on this project for a couple of years now. I am designing a Mini Z conversion to adapt to a Vintage slotcar body. We will be racing Vintage cars like, 67 Camaro, 65 Mustang, Dodge Charger, 55 Chevy, 66 Novas, and other type of these late Muscle cars. Our track will be a 3 tile wide RCP and will consists of approx. 50 ft. long. Everything is pretty much made except the rear wheels which will be CNC made aluminum. I will post more very soon.

hello, i have the idea too of do drag racing whit the mini z, but i have not designed nothing yet, i was thinking in adapt some drag tires from model kits that i have built ( my other hobbie). you can try to adapt some bodies from a 1/24 scale model kits in to a mr02 chassis. i only have an awd but i am thinking in get a 02 to do this things.

if you have other ideas tell us please.

Very cool. Get some video up online if you can once you get it all together.

Maybe you can do something like How Fast Are You where you create a Drag Racing standard track size on RCP and you can compare times across the world .

I had an idea a while back for Kyosho to produce a new Hot-Rod series Mini-Z cars. This would have required a completely redisgned tube-like chassis and replicating bodies like the old 42 Ford Coupe Roadster's and other such Hot-Rods. The chassis would have been available in two forms, one for Hot-Rod style bodies, and one for Muscle Car style bodies. Unfortnetly, the design was never drawn up and the idea fell through the cracks. But these two chassis would have been ideal for your drag-racing competitions as they probably won't handle roade-coarses as well as the regular Z's.

50FT is a little long for a drag track. Isn't 1/4 of a mile to 1:28 15FT?

Also, that car looks fantastic! Nice work. It'd be nice to see Mini-z release some propper oldschool muscle cars!

It is actually 47.14 ft. Do the math. 1320/28= 47.14

Up dated on Drag Racing Mini Z's

I am still working on the protype. Having problems on the stering and knuckles. I just got a new guy to work part time at my shop. He seems to be really good on doing the fet upgrade. We will want these Z's to burn burn burn!
Will have more on this very soon.
Thanks,
Todd

Nice Car!!!ya i have been drag racing my xmod evo mustang for a few years. its ok its got full bearings. some GPM racinig parts, a huge wing for downforce, but a stock motor. its good for the scale 1/4 mile, because it acelerates so quick. its a blast i wanna start a club for it, but still looking for people to race in general lol

I know this is an old post, but i'd love to see these pictures :-) I've always been tempted to build a Mini-Z dragster, but still didn't have the chance.

Thanks!
