unbelievable
we are forecasted to receive 3-12 inches of snow in montegomery county this weekend while any snow forecasts are suggestive at best in the dc area, i would prefer you not risk potential danger to yourself and property inorder to make the scheduled this weekend.
in the event we do receive snow, we can simply reschedule the gtg for the following weekend and continue the existing schedule on it's b-weekly time table.
in the event we do not get snow which is equally possible given the weather prediction accuracy rates here, i hope to see everyone and run track 2 part 1

Yeah, I've been keeping my eye on the weather (and cursing it). That'll make it six weeks for me, I'm jonesing for a race here, but I can quit any time, honest doc. On a serious note, if we put it off until the 18th, there will be only one more weekend in the month...meaning the bi-weekly schedule will put the next one in March. Will it be acceptable if we run track 2 part 2 in the month of March?

Officially, we can't run track 2 Part 2 in March. The results have to be submitted by the end of February. Is there any chance of back-to-back weekends?

spoon is correct. a snow delay would require a back to back gtg scenario inorder to get the races in on time. i have no problems with this btw as it's weather related and not purposefully designed to happen

Yeah, that was a good catch. I just hope the whole storm thing is hype so we can get some racing done.

Well, they've already moved it 3 hours later for my zip at weather.com (begins at 9am now, with heavier snow starting at noon)...I suppose we could just start the GTG at 6am (just kidding, arch ).

At Mini-AZ we run both Clockwise and Counterclockwise rounds in one day. We get the whole thing done in about 3-4 hours. Granted though, we barely have enough drivers for one Heat.
A big time saver is our Qualifying. We run 5 lap solo, the whole thing is done in about 10min. This eliminates traffic issues in Qualifying, and is still exciting because the pressure is on and everyone is looking on and cheering/heckling.
You could further cut the time down by skipping Round 2 Qualifying and instead use the finish order from Round 1 to divide Heats and grid.
The hardest part really is keeping the schedule going. We always get sidetracked with testing and chatting.
Maybe you could send some of that snow our way? We haven’t even had rain in nearly four months.

While it remains to be seen if the snow will show up, I have a feeling it will, in which case the next week is going to be torture:

At least you'll have time to research and buy tires.
Congrats.

Yes, I suppose that might prove to be the silver lining, if I didn't know better I'd say these tires were plastic rather than rubber. Oddly enough, I think I've only been in the F1 section a couple of times before, I've got some serious reading to do...

I see white stuff
There's snow coming down in Charlottesville. I am assuming we are off until next week.
This is obviously open for discussion, but we could do both HFAY layouts next week and push the DC layouts later. There's no reason to rush to get those done...if there's any problem with a Back to back. Just a thought. It's still early for me and I haven't really thought it out.
