I dropped by this evening and found 10-12 ReadySets, including some nice MR-015 and MR-02 sets.
I also saw about 12 bodies, two of which I purchased.
He also has a wall of Kyosho replacement and hop-up parts for the AWD and MR-02 chasses.
Finally, he has a few MR-02 chasses (no body or radio) and is expecting some AWD chasses as well. It will be very tempting to see all that Mini-Z merchandise every time we race there.
Coutney has bought MR-015, MR-02 and AWD chasses for himself and is looking forward to the upcoming GTGs.

I only got to see all the AWD parts and the readysets when I was in there yesterday afternoon.. As far as MR-02 readysets go, they have 2 Red Bull Audi's, 2 Test Version Lexus SC-430's, and 2 Ford GT's {black w/silver stripes}.. I grabbed one of the Ford GT's, so that makes one left for those.. Hobbyworks also dropped the price on the readysets as well.. They were going for $160.00 dollars, now they're only $139.99.. It'll be interesting to see how fast the Mini-Z merchandise in the store sells..

the more he sells and the quicker he does, the better it will be for us. i have to believe that if we prove we can bring people in the door and increase sales, they would be more willing to bump the sat. events to sunday for us.
it's also nice to know courtney is not gouging people like some other hobby shops that i will not name. it says alot about the stores character and loyalty in my opinion.

What's up guys, I got another update about Hobbyworks... Courtney has taken some of the Mini-Z merchandise and marked it 20% off.. It's mostly AWD stuff, including ball-bearing and spur-gear sets and stock replacement parts.. There was some MR-02 stuff included as well such as MM carbon plate sets, clear chassis sets and blue, red and black anodized wheel nuts... There's some good deals to be had if you act quickly... That's all for now..

has anyone had further discussions with courtney regarding fee's and prizes? he originally told us he would charge a small fee (mentioned $5) and would provide prizes for store(club racing?). i can only assume since he has nto brought this up againt that he is not ready to do so. i have no problem at all with a small race fee for using the shop space, power, etc.
i wish he used email.... it would be soo much easier to get all this coordination done. i can not call him do do everything and i hate to ask you guys to relay messages all the time.
things left to do basically:
remaining saturday schedule till june/july
fee's/prizes
getting copy of hw's parts request to courtney periodically
getting courtney to call mini-z re: atomic/pn parts and hfay motors, provide list of requested parts.
i have not been there to see but i assume he fixed the moveable shelving problems?

I had to roll up to Hobbyworks today and while I was up there I reserved us the 26th of July for the first HFAY event if we choose to have it at the store.. I had to go with July 26th because it was the only Saturday that wasn't already taken by the Pokemon people.. I hope this date won't conflict with people's schedules and we have a good turnout for the first two races of the new HFAY season...

Arch, if we run both F1 and regular HFAY races on the same day It's going to be pretty close to get all the racing done on time.. We'll also have to run on Saturdays if we still plan on running at Hobbyworks.. Sundays would be pretty much out of the question because I don't think we'd have enough time to get in all the qualifiers and mains for both events in one day.. We'll have to see, I'm open for any suggestions..

I needed to get a few things at Hobbyworks today.. While I was in there, I noticed that somebody had dropped off some yellow entry forms for the upcoming ALCS Charity race in October.. If anybody needs them, they're right inside the store on the left hand side of the glass display case.. I'd like to thank whomever dropped off the forms.. Saved me some time..
Also, if anybody is looking for a new Mini-Z Overland, Courtney's got them marked down to only 100 dollars each.. They have one silver Porsche and one silver Mercedes left...

In an attempt to get some of my Christmas shopping done early this year. I decided to brave the long lines and traffic of "Black Friday" to go by Hobbyworks.. While I was in there I was pleased to see that Courtney has re-stocked a fair amount of the Mini-Z related items in the store..
The first thing I noticed was all the new F1 readysets in the store, there are now two of the new Ferrari's and two new Mercedes F1's.. Also there are two new 2.4ghz chassis sets as well as some new Greddy/Porsche 962 readysets{without the transmitter}.. As far as bodies they had two blue Ferrari FXX's and some Red Bull Audi's as well as some other assorted bodies.. Along with that there was a lot of the new Orion 750 batteries and a ton of 20 and 30degree front and rear Kyosho tires{both treaded and slick versions}.. Other items worth mentioning were some titanium Kyosho screw sets for the MR-02 and some new ball-diffs as well as some of the small stainless steel shim sets..

thanks for the update. i hope his restock translates to more drivers
i too braved the crowds with my wife to complete 90% of our shopping. unfortunately, i will not be getting a bonus this year nor a raise so i am restricted even further in my spending. i will have to limit my purchases to whats needed for hfay s7/spring club racing.

Wow, never imagined that HW around here would stock Zs! I'll defenetly drop by sometime to see the current stock and maybe heads-up about any upcoming events.
Also pardon my noobishness, but what are our local clubs and how would I join one/whats required?
