Mazda RX7 FC3S Drift build

Hi guys, here is my first project, I hope you like it.

I'm going to make the BN Sports body kit for this build.

There is a lot of work to do on the front bumper, still need to make the side areas of it so I hope everything will be ok.

Hope to put more pictures soon.
Roca.

let me first say your mold and casting of the body is genius! the end product looks awsome.
i would love to learn much more about that process from start to finish.

i really do look forward to following this build

i imagine it's easier to work with resin to resin thus the mold?

what are the costs involved with making each mold?

Hi arch2b

The cost of the silicone (I buy it in Spain because I'm from there) is 125 euros arpox, the quantity of 5 kg. Then the resin is 25 euros.

But for this type of mold you will use aprox 600-700g and a small quantity of resin...

You can check out this website for silicone and resin casting which is from USA http://www.alumilite.com/
And where I buy http://www.feroca.com/productos.asp (that's in spanish)

Hope it helps.
Roca.

Oh wow wow wow wow.

Will you be making casts of the finished resin bodykit too? You could sell a number of these to recuperate your costs for starting this cool project.

As for the project, extremely nice! I'm glad someone went ahead and duped a Z.

myself, no. i'd rather let those with the experience do it right. but i'd love to get a couple civic hatch resin bodies to replace the lexan one dogbreath made for me many years ago. i still have the model kit.
