We had an AWD fly off my track (crazy driving) and then proceeded to find the small opening to the well in my basement. Luckily the light kit was on it and we fished it out of the murky depths. We took the cells out, dried it off a bit, hit it with some motor cleaner and let it dry out. Car ran fine after that.
The board should be ok with the little moisture you'll encounter.
