i think you venture into resurfacing territory. a quick hack would be to lower the brushes on a vacuum and run over all the tiles in a single direction to essentially scour off the top layer but you also run the risk of simply doing more damage than good.
Also the tires do have a shiny look after 5-10 laps, which additionally decreases grip. After a quick run on the tire truer the tires work again and look as supposed, but another 5 laps later it starts all over again.
Therefore we think something has happened to the RCP itself over the time and wonder how to restore the original behavior. As we do run 2 big tracks plus 1 for the 1:28 online world series replacement will come quite costly - and as it was not planned no reserves for exchange have been saved during the years.
I don't think your shiny tire problem has anything to do with the tracks age. I've recently setup a brand new track in my basement and decided to try the smooth side. Or group runs the rough side but I was curious about the smooth.
I have the same issue. The tires get polished and useless. I don't have a truer so I'm just sand papering them to freshen then up. I've probably done at least 10k laps already and the grip is the same as the first day. I found I needed up front either narrow K20 or wide K30. Rears are all wide K20 but they do have room for improvement, I just don't have any wide K10.

We have run the smooth side for months. Very good grip and no tire shinyness. Box stock has Kyosho tires only. Rest of our classes we all run PN KS tires or Markas or a combo of both. The track was run on rough side for yearsand sat on all different surfices.

Before you found that you needed K20's and 30's what were you using?
