Servo Jitter

I installed one of the new atomic stock motors and ever since I did the wheels jitter back and forth. I unhooked the motor and turned it on just to see if the motor was drawing to much but the wheels still jitter. I am running a MR-02 with the new 3010 fets which is what the motor is rated for. Does it sound like my servo is bad or could it be something else? Any help would be appreciated.

Servo jitter is normal. Usually you can wedge some paper inside around the POT. There are several fixes. Another was to drop a set screw above the POT to steady it. I've done both and they help reduce the jitters.

I just had this same problem with my MR-02. I changed the POT out to a brand new one, and no more problems. I suppose you could have a different problem, but this worked for me.

Another solution is to lube the pot. I did this on my Season 3 HFAY chassis and it smoothed out the steering quite a bit. Search around, I think Draconious first brought this idea up. If you can't find it email me or reply here, I can give you more details.
