Carbon Fiber Decals
There are several on this forum that have the ability to create decals.
I have come across a way to produce Carbon Fiber decals for Mini Z hoods and wings. These decals have a much finer detail and size compared to the Parma decals which are designed for larger scale vehicles. I include two decals per sheet, each decal is 3 X 2 1/2 inches (approx) which is enough for a standard Z sized hood and a full wing. Printed on clear waterslide paper, these decals look great when applied over a hood prepainted in white, gray, or silver. They can be applied over darker colors such as blue or red to give the tinted graphite look.
These give a good Carbon Fiber look so popular in the Tuner and Street Racing crowds.
Email me for more details.
This is my Supra, painted in silver and clear coated to a medium gray color. Then CF hood and wing installed.
I am currently working on a CF decal with even finer resolution making the weave even closer to scale.

That certainly looks better than the vinyl decals, still a little coarse too my eye though. I think in reality, at 1/28 scale the CF pattern would hardly be visible.
Not take business away from you but Scale Motorsport makes some great CF decals also down to 1/24 scale;

Yes it is still just a bit course, but it is better than the popular Parma stuff, and as I work with it it is getting finer. I am not worried about any loss of sales due to Scale Motorsport as I can do for about 1/2 the price.

I have made my own CF decals from stuff I found right here in this section. It may be cheap but it looked good. It is a simple black/ grey combo that I printed on white decal paper, heck I even did one with a tighter pattern for a bit body.

Yup, like I said, several of us can do it. Just offering my service to those who can't.
I will also be offering CF decals on white background paper....this will be very helpful for the colored CF I have planned.

Another good service to offer. You are a great contributor.
imo - At first glance, the pattern looks a little too open, like brick/mortar. The light and dark areas should be almost even.

Yes Ken it does look a bit open, The image used is an actual CF open weave. To close it up and even the shades would make it almost unseeable. I like the open weave because it can be colored. And while this pattern may not be everyones cup of tea, it does add the illusion of CF that many are looking for.

Thanks, used blue on that car because all the alloy underneath and the wheel nuts are blue, gives a nice contrast on the white.
I have done a little more work and have made the CF even tighter and a little darker....will get some more pics up soon
