Sneakpeak: Training round in Swedish Championship
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...15762976069747
Only a sneak peak, every a-main was video filmed with a camera on a tripod so there shuld be some great movies up soon!
This is just 2 laps from a training round, we follow Isak Hjelte's car, he came 3rd in the A-main.
It was only 6 seconds from Pole Position to 6th place in qualifying. (we run 6min qualification). It's close!
We all run stock PCB, no fets and only plastic bodies. Atomic Stock handouts and foamtyres. It was our first try EVER on a RCP track to. We only had 2 days to find a setup.

Great Video.
Congrats on the new RCP track. Our club has been running on them for a year now and we all love them. It look like you guys went all out with a very large set up.
The drivers in the video are excellent, and look to have the setup right on.

Sounds like an HFAY possibility to me ! Second season starts in July !
Find some Kyosho stock motors, and you're in business ! What timing system do you use ?

We use lap-z, they are accurate to one thousand of a second.
Uses a small IR-transmitter/reciever in the car.

We havnt got the core system here.
The setup is probably far from spot on, but i can post setup and pics of winning car later.
from the right its:
Winner: Fredrik Mathiesen
2nd: Roland Ström
3rd: Isak Hjelte

Acctually.. We did know about it, we were talking about it all weekend..
We didn't know much about it, but we knew that it existed.
We are all interested in trying it, only problem is that we are not allowed to use foam tyres in it.. It's all we run, and we have done so for 2-3years now.
But if we find a track nearby Stockholm, we will try to set it up and run some times with rubber tyres!

Congratulations on your 3rd place finish
Even if your HFAY times are posted with a note stating that you are running foam tires, I would like to see the comparison to the stateside drivers.
I would also be interested in how you would compare the foam tires to good rubber tires on RCP (mainly GPM 8d radial). I have tried foam tires on RCP with poor results (probably not the best foam), and prefer rubber at the moment, but am also limited to running rubber.
Not all RCP tracks are equal in their grip qualities, so what works on one track may not work on another. I have to completely change my setup when I race in New Jersey compared to the setup that I use normally at my somewhat local track (more grip). My home track is not really fast enough to make much of a difference setup wise, it is more of a driver track, the difference in car setup is much smaller than a larger track.

Here's a better picture of the track:
http://www.miniracingbolaget.com/cup/finalbilder/9.jpg
i don't know what the times was in the mains, but TQ Roland Ström did:
35laps in 6min 5s
that's an average of 10.4
maybe it will give you a hint about our speed. I think the easiest is if someone could build our track and run it in the states :P
