after racing for a while, my tie rod would slip out of the catch(servo gear), so i have to open the servo and fix it in again and again.
is there any ways to keep the tie rod from coming out, or to put the tie rod back but NOT by opening the servo?
your servo case is not propperly closed the top/bottom half should have NO gap between them... a wire or someting is in the way keeping it from closing... or you have a badly molded part some were
but it's a few times that this happen, it can' be that all the time that i didn't close my servo case properly..is there any relevant reasons? or something?
1. The v1 Mini-Z's weak spot is the servo. If it's not the case then perhaps your first gear or your tiebar has a minute crack or defect. or the "pot" is loose.
My group has had this problem also, but it's mainly been with the people who run the aftermarket rods that let you set toe. If yours is an aftermarket part, it could be bad molding problem as Drac suggested.
First thing is to check your case for wear both the tie rod and case wear as the mini z is used this will after time get bad enough to let the tie rod jump off the servo gear notch. You need to either repair this gap or replace the case and tie rod. I run my miniz enough to have this happen to several cases. If the gap is excessive them you know this is your problem. Hope this helps.
I use to have this problem with my stock gears. My solution is a little scary but works for temp usage. When it pops out the next time hold body and car upside down front face forward, use your two thumbs and kind of snap or pop it back in place. It will fall into the grove and should be fine. This will just cure it temp. and will and can pop out again. When you open your case do the paper trick and it should make the transponder closer to the gear and maybe have a tighter fit with the gear. Also take the tie rod and squeez the middle ends lightly. hope this load of mess makes any sense at all. at the moment its to early and i'm in class. =(
