Custom Corvette C5R (ZR1 style)

Heres my work in progress.

My inspiration

I'm filling in the two vents in the front, the fog lamp hole, rear corvette logo, spoiler holes and all the little latches. Its going to be painted metallic blue like the new ZR1 with a black roof. Wheels are chrome Ray Re30's.

that will look very good, Keep us updated on the progress. those wheels you have on there look great on the vette. The blue will be a nice color for it as well.

I like your plan on filling in those areas for a more street version as well. are you planning on modifying the from to match the newer style as well?

here was my attempt at a custom vette.

Those wheels are made by kyosho. You buy it as a set with multiple offsets. It comes in grey as well as chrome.

I'm just filling in those areas to make it more street style and less race style. I wish I knew how to change the shape of the lights and all that, but for this one, its just going to be a ZR1 STYLE C5R

Nice vette. I saw yours when I was searching to see if anyone else made a street vette.

Here's a little update on the corvette. I'm going to need atleast another coat of the blue since I didn't use any primer for the body. After that, I'm going to move on to painting the roof black and then clearing the whole body.

One more quick update. I just finished painting the roof black and I'm just mocking it up with the windows and wheels. I'm contemplating if I want to clear the whole car or just leave it as is. After that, I'll still have to paint the black trim, diffuser and front splitter. I also have to make a custom headlight lens since I didn't like how the original one bulged out.

Simple & Beautiful. Plus, the best looking wheels for the vette I've seen this far. Nice

Took me a good 2 weeks to get the clear coat down right. I'll post a Do's and Don'ts with Future as a clearcoat later on if anyone is interested.

Anyway, here is it, almost done. Made the headlight lens and painted the diffuser and other black trim. All that's left is to finish up the rear taillights.
