Weird...is it just me do those links fail to work? Especially those links from the forum itself.

A real waste. Somehow, when you copy and paste the links, something was shortening it in between. The links have '........' in between them, that's what's causing it.

Too bad Herman, this would be very useful to us.

if you have read a good thread about fets, any new info on them, or questions that may have been answered about fets...

please post the thread here along with a brief discription of the thread... this would help others about their fet questions, experiences...

thanks in advance...

Thumbs down "New" FET...

Here is my contribution to this fets guide 101:

The FETs used in the ESC are dual N and P channel, and they are wired in H shape to the motor (see illustration in the attached file).

To use motors "hotter" than stock we need to substitute stock FETs by others with lower resistance - That is a well-known fact. I have been searching this forum for the best Internal Turbo - with the lowest resistance. Many of you are using the 4562s but some prefers the original 3010 stacked.

I have collected data from some of the mentioned MOSFETs in this forum together with one "new" that we are using - Vishay Si4500BDY (see data in attachment). We are using one stack with 4500 and one stack with 4562. Using the N-channel in 4500 and P-channel in 4562 when going forward. This gives a total resistance of 53mOhm compared to 58mOhm with two 4562 stacks

I have not measured the actual resistance, but I have used the working operation parameters from the datasheets - and the conditions in the datasheets are close to those in Mini Z...

Have anybody else tried this combination?

Did I mention that the 4500 is priced 1/4 of the 4562?
