I'm interested in seeing what others would do. Come to think of it I'd like to see mine as well, I have not done them yet.

Well I have my sketch done, although I won't give any hints as to what it will be. I will say that I have decided to not go with the Black, red silver theme as there are just to many cars that are these colors. I'm going for something unique.

It is a good idea to do something different (Hey, the dare to be different contest! sounds good to me). I got my order in and made a trip to the local wally world for the paint. As I said before, this time I will try something different. The paint is the Dupla Color from the auto body section. I just hope the solvents are not too strong for the base plastic. I am using an automotive grey primer under it.

Here's the only teaser I have so far, a coat of primer and a sheet of decals. I may have to add the white for more contrast in the design.

The first coats were rough. I had to color sand the open areas and apply another coat to even it out. I used the red as a base. I had to seal it with a clear, as the red pigment acted like it was a dye. The black and charcoal colors are just two thin coats for the color. I layed a few clear coats over the whole thing. It is still tacky as I type this. I may give it a few days to set before I start the decals and detail it out. As a fact this stuff smells very strong next to the Tamiya paints for sure, I just hope it would be like a crash helmet when it sets up.

If you go that route, be sure to paint outside. The fumes are that strong.

That Nighthawk Black that I listed above isn't a real black, you turn it into the light it has a hint of blue to it. The can cap looked black under the lights, but what came out has blue to it. It look's good with the MZR decals on it. Here's some shots with the waterslide decals used, and on my MA01 AWD chassis. AWD Vits RS?

It's my first Vits body, it is a neat little car. Trying to do something different was the idea. I think it look's too much like a company car though (almost like getting one of those New Beetles and doing a "Geek Squad" car out of it), look forward to seeing the other entries for this.
