hi chris, i tried to run the multi option rear suspension as a DPS on the RR motor mount. however i found that the damper post is waaaaay to high for the bottom spring of the DPS. i end up compressing the bottom dps spring, and i don't like it. any suggestion to have both bottom and upper spring has zero pre-load?

Is the Damper arm on the motormount set to the lowest position?

Flip the post upside down, or raise the damper plate or both.

I have a question about the rear shocks. Will the Atomic AWD151 set work to replace the plastic pieces? The plastic shocks are too hard to adjust, and I don't have a die kit to re-thread them. Is the alloy set any smoother? Anyone know how much more the alloy pieces weigh when compared to the plastic?

My first impression is no, since they have different ball joints. But please somebody says otherwise. I would like to use the metal one as well.

it fits just fine but the shocks are not designed to sit at any angle. basically they are designed to move straight up and down with no pivoting at all. i bought 3 sets to try this out and came up empty handed.

You can do that. You need to cut the male and female end shorter on the PN side shocks.

just be careful when cutting if you go to short they will pull apart if the car flips and the spring will go flying. its a bad way to end a race.

No the ball is smaller and mounts in the shock completely different from the plastic ball. The metal shock has a collar that goes on first then the shock and then the ball goes through the shock and is all tightened together with a nut. Basically the shock is sandwiched between the collar and the ball
