You know when you play online racing games you can watch a ghost car of the fastest laps? I'd like to see what a fast run on a typical HFAY race looks like. I've looked at past races where my all time fastest lap was about 5.5 seconds, which is still under a 90 lap pace.
I'd like to see how folks are driving and if it's just consitant low 5's or if our cars just aren't holding the turns like other racers.
I don't have a video of a whole race but this is me (Mr F28) practising on last months Hfay track 4 and producing a 3.998 second lap....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rnCzd51u2XA
I hope it helps.
During one of our races, ChrisB (109 laps track 4) posted a 3.906 second lap!

Wow that is clean! you'll have to share the setup at some point
But I think I got the real answer I was looking for... the driving needs to improve on our end. I think every one of your laps was far better then our best laps.
I see that most of your club members run 02's? ChrisB runs an i-series 02 so it would be worth seeing his setup.
The biggest difference I've found to improving lap times, is to run Kyosho 30 fronts tires and 20 rears. We've also found that vacuuming the track is important.
Also don't be tempted to have more power. EG, the Kyosho stock is capable of 4.3 second laps on track 4, so putting in a Hfay spec motor won't help you 'till you can post 90+ laps.
Good luck.
good info posted here. Best way to improve lap times is the driving line, corner entry and exit so you don't loose the speed. oh, and practice, practice, practice. Did I say practice.
I think I have a good line until I see some of these others drive. Man are some of these guys fast.
we post video of all our races on our youtube channel which feeds our Google+ and face book pages. look for any of the a main races in which Mike or Bill routinely break 100 laps.
