MA010 axles and wheels on a Gen1 xmod

I did a knucle repair project on my ma010 and accidently dug up an old friend.

I found out that ma010 axles are exactly the same as the front ones on a gen1 xmod.

For the rear axle of the xmod I just shaved a flat spot so ma010 wheels well fit on.

I found out that theres a way to fit ma010 axles on a xmods evo too.

Pretty soon this gen1 will be more ma010 then xmod along with whole new electronics, quark 33a esc and wraith 7k bl motor .

thanks Byebye for the lesson in proper wheel/tire setup.

sorry the pictures are out of sequence and I didn't do a full step by step write up. Someone was interested in the pictures so here they are. Thanks tiny-rc/mini-zracing for making uploading possible

Nice find Gixxer! Looks promising. I may have to do this mod on an xmod chassis I have now. Last week I took some time to dig my old x-mod x-mini-z pcb out. I pulled the pcb long ago and dropped it back into the F1 I had. Anyway. I dug up the stuff and found the two ESC's that arch2b sent to do a project car for him. Anyway. It's running but not as well as I'd like. I will have to do this mod to have the ability to run mini-z tires.

So from your first post:
MA-010 axles work on the front end of the GEN 1 x-mod
For the rear you modified the wheel to fit the x-mod axle

Is this correct?

I have many more plans for this gen1 xmod . I just need to finish my mini inferno and stop racing around the RCP with the chassis you gave me.

NO NO NO! don't modify the wheels at all. those are worth more then the xmod axles.
- Shave the rear gen1 xmod axle down to fit into the wheels.
- Swap xmod front axle out for the ma010 (it's a direct fit)

- once your done removing the rest of the slop in the suspension and stick in the mini-z or iwaver pcb, post another video around your track.

Did you get the PN racing AWD chassis extension kit yet?
