Any possibility to make a fixed offset wheel? Like .5mm front?

i may make a series in half mm offsets, fixed offset wheels are a pain because you have to make totally different designs for each offset

thats one of the things that we are going to work on this week , its hard to explain without a video and good pix!

hold the tool in one hand
put the hub on the tool (outside down)
place the lip onto the hub and press down
the first click will be the centermost offset (-1)
now to go to the next offset you use your palm to press down on the lip with more pressure on one side and it will pop to the next offset. it takes some time to get used to it, it has to be forcefull to be durable.
now you can only go one way so if you miss your offset you need to push the hub all the way through and try again, this is one reason why a +2 on the front is going to be hard to pull off.

like i said a link to a video will be the easiest way to explain

delrin does not wear, it is probably one of the toughest non metal materials around. i have been cutting delrin stuff for around 20 years!! considering that your not going to be "adjusting offsets" every 5 minutes it will be ok!! once you see how these are made in person you will better understand why!

I like the look of the wheel, although they look very odd in post #5.

Pricetag?

do you prefer the 6 spoke over a 5 spoke. i think with the larger spokes 5 spokes might look nicer. just a thought

on post 5 they look strange because the lip is black and the center is silver (painted), the second pic was a pair of frts that i made the thin to see if it would hold up.

i will be moving this thread to my own vendor section soon , i dont want to polute CT's section!!
