I say nuke 'em back to the Stone Age. We should have cleaned house the first time we were there.

Thank you Britain, Spain, Australia, and Japan for supporting us.

I heard Canada was staying out of it.

But, I haven't watched the TV news for a few hours- maybe this has changed?

I hope so; I would have thought that our brothers to the North would back us up on this.

Troubled times

Personally, I would have liked a diplomatic solution.
Unfortunately some of the "old European" nations took a really soft stance towards Iraq. As I've said before, if hijacked Boeings had hit buildings in those (reluctant) European nations, their troops would be massed on the Kuwait/Iraq border spoiling for a fight.
Diplomacy has failed, "old Europe" has ruined the credibility of the United Nations and its Security Council.
Ironically enough, one of the "Veto Club" European nations said it will provide troops if Saddam used chemical and biological weapons. I say they can stick their troops in the same place their U.N. Veto belongs.

The bottom line is that Saddam has the wealth and will to turn the world upside down.
Someone has to stop him and I have to respect the U.S., Britain, Spain and Australia for being willing enough to put things right.

well, can i have some gasoline when its all over? like, all of it? i heard gas prices are expected to go as high as $5 a gallon (sounds outrageous, but it was on the news). not a good thing to hear when your truck gets 8 mpg and you drive 100+ miles daily....

I was going to say something...but I've decided to keep my opinions to myself, instead.

I will say that I personally have no control over world events, and the best i can do is hope that they don't affect me personally.

I'm going to go down to the basement and run a few laps now....

I'm not sure what people are worried about. We for 2 days solid flew over bagdad warning people to evacuate, with leaflets and speakers msgs. The city was a ghost town before we attacked. We also in the msgs said "don't fight back, we dont want to fight, we only want saddam"

i like the approach of warning the innocents to leave and letting them know EXACTLY when and where we were gonna strike.

pisses me off all the people who live in this country enjoying their freedom and have absolutely no regard for how we attained and maintain that freedom. how many 9/11's would it take to get it through to people? i say all the ingrates need to be shipped off to iraq and let them live like saddam is treating his people.

The people that are against the war should be exiled? Anyone that disagrees with the government should be kicked out?

Sounds like one of Saddam's policies, Bub.

This country was founded on not agreeing with the government, remember?

And everyone here is free to do so.
