Full link rear suspensions? Anyone?
Does anyone make a link suspension for the rear of the MR02/03?
I prefer link to T-plate for my 1/12 pan and 1/10 F1 cars because of the adjustability, and you can get a really smooth moving rear end, but I’m wondering if the same system exists for Mini-z
I see the JOMUREMA JR128-R01 has something of a link rear end, and some companies make side/tri-damper spring setups for the Z but they still require a T-plate to connect

Jomurema uses a gimble configuration. PN has one for the MR03.
Qteq used to offer a t-bar that had some adjustment. https://www.multiverse.jp/QTEQ/engli...MR-034BTB.html
This was good for tri damper configuration.
The GL Racing GLR has a ball link chassis. http://gl-racing com/store/glr-optio...94230b40209cea
For this scale, I like the t-plate... it gives an easy adjustment of the rear suspension, which is easy to swap and a more simple configuration. The bumpier the track, the better the t-plate is. There is more vertical compliance with a t-plate with a disc damper. Carpet seems to be better for the t-bar and links with a tri damper in my experience than RCP.

MC3 cars all use tri-damper setup which includes side links. We have a 90mm wheelbase 2wd car (FD-90R) and several F1 style offerings with the latest being FR-02.

I'm going to need to get the 90mm setup, is it on the website? Once I get running more, I'll grab the new f1.
Edit: ordered the 90... it looks good

Thanks for the info... with the lack of tracks here in Southern California (since the weather is so nice all the time, people race larger scale outdoors all year round) I just wanted to be prepared for whatever tracks may show up by having the ‘right’ setup available to me... do you have a link or any info on the PN setup? I haven’t seen it...

Yeah... I have an extra VE pcb already. It looks like a really good chassis. There aren't too many 90mm configurations out there. And by the look of things, I would think that this one nailed it.
I have attached my current 90mm setup for comparison.

Can you use brushed board with the 90mm kit?

Hi guys
Thanks for the support Emu. I personally love this chassis. Especially with the Mazda Miata body on it. We made some prototype polycarbonate tops for the Miata to lower the cog. May offer it at some point. I see lots of folks in Asia running atomic chassis at 90 too.
Arch2b, sorry, it’s only brushless.

Looks like an awesome mod... how does it run? And what body do you put on it?

I have put many bodies on that chassis. Some need work to fit. Most recently, f40 about a month ago.
We ran a 70t class years ago with 90mm bodies that could only use 0N wheels all around. Really competitive class. Mini is one of the easiest to fit, but very little margin for error with that body.

Wow!... a triple-damper, mid-motor, 90m setup?!?!?
What motor mount/damper system is that?

90mm atomic mount, mantisWorx custom cut carbon adapters for the atomic SAS shocks that reflex was using in its tri dampers at the time. It's a nice package, a lot of versatility for tuning. I would love to say that it's the fastest 90mm setup, but with limited motor and small bodies, the added mass and higher cg balanced the increased tuning options.
This setup has advantage in more technical layouts, in high speed flowing layouts, a disc damper is preferred.
I have more of the carbon if you have an atomic mount and want to give it a try.

Dow MantisWorx even exist anymore?

He doesn't make mini-z parts anymore. He was making 1/10 parts, rcshoxx was the company I think (mostly shock parts).
