I'm trying to fix up an old MR02 for a friend of mine. Gave him the FHS radio andPCB out of my MR03s. Ive wired up the servo motor from the old 27mghz PCB onto the RA29. Once I turn the car on the servo motor just runs?
Lol,. I did. It still constantly runs. If I slip the servo motor into the servo gear case, it will go one way and stop. Is there a possibility the RA29 needs the coreless motor?
How many wires do you have going to the pot? Post a pic of the servo assembly if you can. It should work in the mr02, as long as you have 3 pot wires and 2 motor wires.
If it goes one way then stops while in the servo assembly, then that's usually reverse polarity on the motor. Switch them again, then assemble servo outside of the car and test again.
If the pot is not centered, the motor should spin one way. If pot moves to the opposite side, the motor should spin the other direction. When assembled, this should recenter the steering. If the steering locks to one side or the other, then the polarity on the motor is reversed, since its turning the gears the wrong way to try to center them.
