Sweet ride danieluki. Very trick AWD you got there.
Sorry to post off-topic for a sec, but it is interesting to me how people don't even want to try to race the AWD these days... I know most high-skill-level racers tell me the AWD/MA010/MA015 just cannot compete with 2WD/MR02/03 speed. I remember a quote by Joe Chen (From ancient Mini-Z glory-days past ) : "It is the Archer, Not the Arrow" I just can't see how in Open-Motor MOD races the AWD wouldn't be a great choice (Providing you have the time and skill (And $$$) to build-up an AWD as smooth and perfect-running as it can possibly be, also..

2 words:
Traction Roll.
The significantly higher CG makes tuning an AWD for present-day Modified racing to be all about keeping the car from traction rolling, so you can't really get a setup to go as fast around flowing corners as you would with RWD. Plus RCP has plenty of grip, so there's very little room on a track (only the beginning of each corner exit) to press the AWD traction advantage. On carpet, you'd destroy with an AWD, but this is 'Murika! and our big races are all on RCP lol.
I've got my new MA-015 + DWS sitting in front of me to be built, but it's strictly for show and drift. Once I get my MR03 back up to 170g weight there's not going to be a traction issue anymore either, so makes no sense to race the AWD for me.

I'd like to try RCP sometime/sounds great. I went AWD because I knew I'd be all over the place with such a tiny RWD + electric torque. Was planning on picking up my own RCP for an empty room in the house but unfortunately my good RC buddy sold his Z off pretty quick & I didn't figure there'd be much point by myself.

hi all, here's my latest creation, i sold my original monster scooby to a friend at my club and pretty much started on this right after...
V.Rossi rallycross car kinda thing, i know the yellow is not rossi's yellow but it's my paintjob and i like this yellow much more than the fluorescent on the real car plus the real car is a Ford Focus, the decals are a mixture from the rossi monza rally kit and a sheet of Monster logos i got (still got enough for another coupla cars )
tfl.

WorldClassZ, I've often wondered the same, since they do add weight. (if miniscule in the amount)

-This is how it came to me!
-I had to peek it's board, how it looked (OK).
-I didn't like the stock paint, boring... so puted some stickers! Just for more race style!
-Later in time the 6 fets, 8858 had joined with 6.6v Li-fe baterys!
-Last week i decided to lower it... Not on this photo!
-Sits low as it can be to race on the track witout rubbing tires.
And a video of my AWD Miniz's....

The simplest method is using the manage attachments button on the lower half of the page when you're creating a reply. Welcome aboard!

Where are the current hotbeds of activity for the AWD chassis? There doesn't seem to be much racing activity being posted.

MA-015 DWS with alu drive shafts
Need springs and ball bearings.
Is it possible to get 1 deg toe-out in the rear and 1 deg camber up front?
