Kyosho MA-020/RA-45 R/C Unit will not bind

Hi
Did a board swap from AM to this guy Kyosho MA-020/RA-45 R/C Unit Set
Second one ive done, for some reason it wont bind.
tried binding it to kt 531 and my kt 432 neither will bind to it.
I hold bind button down turn on light flashes rapidly but nothing happens have walked away with the car have got inches away nothing. Have tried holding down the buttong for long time it just goes back into slow blink mode. Have been messing with it for about a hour. Trying diffrent combination of things and no luck.
Any input apprceiated,

Hi Jason, did you end up winning that ebay auction?

I ran into the same problem with my ma030 when it arrived. I knew it wasn't controller because the kt worked well with the fwd and 4x4.

Since the board was on and the pairing button actually changed the flashes and timing I assumed the board was fine to. The way I solved it was simply disconnecting the motor and fiddling around with the receiver antenna and not mounting the board on the chassis until it paired. You'll know it si paired when the light is completely solid and no longer flashing and you can steer. Some boards are more sensitive than others for whatever reason. The second 030 I bought paired instantly inside the chassis with the motor connected.

Slight bends or improper placement of the antenna wreak havok on these things.

Before that I had an ASF ma010 that sat for years and it basically had the same sensitive antenna problem fixed by pairing it outside the chassis and fidgeting with the antenna lol.

Good luck.

Taking 3 of them to track tonight to see how they work in AM One has a broke chassis,,,so if you know anyone with the old clear chassis they not using let me know.

Ill take the board off tonight and try it that way, see if I have any luck.
