Joe,
what class were you driving the prototype chassis in? My initial point is that I had been told you must run the stock chassis and bodies in all classes. I'm wondering if that has changed. and if it has, is it only in the open class?

I run it in open and superstock. At this point, the plastic chassis MR02 is still a better car so no one's complaining...

Thanks for the clarification! I think its good to have classes for the people to run the real wild stuff, and also have classes for those that want to keep it simple. I'm probably going to be swinging by to get a car tomorrow. I like how much the group is growing and is stable.

whats the word on using lexan bodies (1/24 slot car bodies)? Is that allowed? I'd love to run a GTP type car.

For open I guess it's ok. The rules are all kind of up in the air right now. I really like the Autoscales and how they look though. Just about every lexan body I've seen for these things is butt ugly

Well clearly Joe, you and I are the only two sitting by a computer all day!
It'll be interesting to see how the rules come down. I'm gonna get an Mr-02 tomorrow, and plan to be there next Sat. for the race.

I was going to get it from hobby center in clear lake, or M&M. Not sure I can afford the "must haves" this weekend, but what are they?
Trey, What times do you think it would be? I'll have my 3 year old with me, would that be a problem? I'll try to call you at that number as I'm heading over tomorrow.

Trey, I know you ( a little) and you probably would recognize my face. I've stopped by the mini track once before. Also, I used to race touring cars with you and Joe over at Reflex. I live in Beaumont, and plan on driving over for the races.

Tires are a must. I'm a big fan of ball diff, but some ppl actually like the gear diff... Carbon H-plate and damper disk system and you're pretty much done. The only thing left is front camber and toe bars. The beauty of Mini-Z is how simple it is to have a competitive car. The blingy rear pods are cool too. They let you mesh the gears nicer so you don't sound like an old Tamiya. Not necessary though.
For some reason the Rayovac IC3's seem to be the punchiest cell around. I still run whatever old NiMH I still have laying around.
