Gauging Interest: Custom Titanium Parts from your 3D Model, ANYTHING!

If I was able to turn your 3D cad model into a custom titanium part, would anyone be interested?

End user price range would be about 20-50$ per part... asuming it was like a motor pod or something.

Reseller would be like 10-30 per part, and you would have to order a bunch and sell them for more...

I could make parts for anything not just Mini-Z... Its medical grade titanium and cobalt chrome, so I could do a custom hip replacment if you want . Since that is what the machine I am buying is for.

I am hopeing the machine can in the future use plastic powder so I do not have to buy a second machine for plastic... (battery bay)

If I get this machine, its a sure thing that my MiX Chassis will be mostly Titanium lol.. and even so will still weigh less than a full alloy MR02...

The only way I can get this machine is if I can sell parts from it, because the cost of the machine out weighs what I will bring in from selling 500-1000 MiX Kits...

Guess I left a few details out lol... these will not be milled... they will be done on a Titanium Rapid Product/Prototype Machine... thus the high cost... the process acctualy causes the titanium to be stronger than milled titanium... since it all gets heated and fused into place by a laser. This will be faster than milling, so I will be able to return parts fast, and doing only one or two of a kind is no big deal... but it would be better if I could fill the whole build table up with parts.. and make a bunch at a time.

So you can litteraly send me anything, even parts that cannot be molded, or milled, due to funky shapes, like a perfect sphere that is hollow... with a tiny hole to let out the extra powder though.

.025mm layer thickness! Although the accuracy is slightly lesser.

Heck I could make a Titanium Body man that would hurt in a crash lol

Gears, rims, tire molds... anything you can think of, I am even going to try to make screws on the thing! not for my chassis, but just to see if it can...

Gears are the onlything I myself have problems modeling, I can do a perfect gear, but it wont mesh with existing gears... I dont know the scale/size/pitch or how to do it to standard... and the gear programs I have are always off...

But if you can provide the 3D model.. I will be able make it if I get the machine... even if it has screw threads...

This is the machine: http://www.stratasys.com/arcam_products.aspx?id=794
Starts at $600,000 and up with materials yata yata...
