January 7, 2006 GTG
ok, i had postponed the gtg that fell on the 31 as i doubt anyone would be available
we really need to get the series going in 2006. the first leg fot the HFAY points series starts in january. we have until the end of the month to run the course twice and i for one know i still have some tweaking to do with my setup.
as soon as i get a final copy of the HFAY rules, i'll email them to everyone. we need a minimum 3 on the track to compete and i know there are more than 3
besides, it's a chance for me to break in our xmas stuff, i know i'm not the only one to get mini-z parts

i only postponed the schedule because i thought everyone would be busy with new years parties etc.
your more than welcome to come by though i just can't make it an all nighter
i need to do some more work on my 'stock' car before the HFAY series starts and i could use a faster driver to follow

you provide the bodies and paint and i'll do the dirty work
if any of the other guys wants some track time before the hfay series starts your welcome to come by this saturday. it just can't be an all night thing due to the new years and kids.
i was thinking of starting our dc series this january as well. it would use the same setup as the hfay meaning qualifyers and mains but would be open to whatever you want to run. we could even use the same points schedule as well if interested.

I have a couple of questions since I am new to the Wash GTG and the Online Points thing is a new.
First HFAY questions,
- It's clear that there are three classes for the Time Trials. Are there multiple classes for the Points Series?
- How long are the courses available. It looks like 1 track every two months.
I am asking because I am planning on being at the Jan 7 GTG, but I don't think I can make it to the 14th. I was wondering what the deadline is for getting the races done.
Also, is there a thread for specific HFAY questions?

there is only one class for which prizes will be awarded, stock class. we may hold and open class series for bragging rites only. this will essentially be our dc racing series as well....
there is a hfay subforum for all things hfay. official rules should be forthcoming very soon.
we have 1 month to run each track clockwise and counterclockwise (have to verify this...). it does not matter when we do it so long as we have the results submitted before the deadline which is close to the end of each month, no exact date set yet.

Thanks for the info Arch. That clears things up a bit.
I managed to get that Estima body on my MR01 so I think that's going to be my stock car. It won't be very competitive but we'll see what happens. I may have to get an MA01 if I want to take the stock class seriously.
As far as the bragging rites/GTG series if we are running open, the green Mucielago is ready to go!
Thanks again,
I'll see you guys on the 7th.

i had intended the open class series to be as much for us as for braggin rites. it will be a run what you want class basically.
