Gran Turismo Nissan Skyline GT-R R35 LW

Gran Turismo Nissan Skyline TG-R R35 LW

Materials:
HRC Nissan GT-R R35 LW Liberty Walk unpainted autoscale
Krylon Fusion Gloss Black
Krylon Fusion Gloss Red Pepper
Tamiya Chrome Silver
Future Floor Polish
Pattos NssanGTRGT3-GT-2015-24

I saw this body kit come up and knew I had to take a crack at it. I've seen a myriad of paint jobs thrown up on YouTube already so it's been a popular kit to work with. More often than not your going to see the BRE livery. I looked threw Pattos collection for something that was appropriate and spoke to me and landed on the Gran Turismo livery.

First, the kit is fabulous! It's more akin to a model kit than a traditional ASC assemble. The fit and finish is perfect. The chrome plating is fantastic. The plastic finish is unlike an Autoscale, it's not a flat shiny surface. It has a slight orange peel texture. The metal stabilizers for the rear wing are awesome.

The decals were a handful on this one. I had to do a lot of cutting and trimming to get proper fitment and glad for it as they fit the body just about perfectly, or much closer to actual dimensions than most livery sets.

Looks great. Love the GT on the hood and the color transition.

Absolutely beautiful! Gran Turismo 4 was the first time I saw the livery on the R34 GTR. It'd be great if HRC would produce more of these LB/ widebody shells. I'm sure many people would love it.

Very nice work!

Can you clarify what white body/kit you're working with? I think maybe you left a previous description in your post.

I think this is one of your best efforts to date. The combination of paint and decals is tight, it looks like a real car.

So it is an Autoscale? I'm kind of intrigued by this, as I've never seen it and can't find it. The only thing I found close/similar is an Aoshima 1:24 model kit. Where did you find it? What wheel offset do you end up at?

edit: nm, I think I found it. HRC Mini Z Arena?

Yes, 3rd party unpainted Autoscale. https://www.hrcarena.store/

98mm wheelbase
I’m told it’s meant to use 0N and 0W wheels but I think you may be able to bump that up with 1/2mm offerings. Painted it weighs 36g.
