pit lane question

RCP- do you guys make a pitlane expansion? i have a wide L and i'd like a pit lane made of the smaller tiles like the ones used in the mini tile. can the mini tiles connect to the larger tiles? let me know. thanks.

The locks are not the same on the 50cm and the 30cm tiles. However, you can always duct tape the flat portion of each tile back-to-back. I made a pit lane using blanks as a side rail on my mini-tile then connected another tile on the other side of the barrier rail. The same could also be done on the larger 50cm using blanks and by cutting two holes in blank tiles.

RCP has also posted a couple of conversion "photo" tile methods; however, I am not sure which thread that is right off hand. There was also information posted some time back about an actual Pit Lane for the 50cm track, but again, I have no idea which thread. I'm sure RCP can provide more information and arch2b probably can as well.

You can see a detailed drawing of the RCP Pit Lane from this link http://mini-zracer.com/gallery/RCP-Tracks?page=5

You need:

6 inside corner tiles
6 inside corner rails
2 outside corner tiles
2 outside corner rails

Wow that is incredible. I doubt that I would be able to see the car at that distance.

We don't currently sell a Pit Lane through any of our distributors, but hope to soon. For now just send us an email and we can put some parts together to make either a 30cm or 50cm Pit Lane. The standard RCP Pit Lane will require and additional 6 inside tiles and rails and 2 outside tiles and rails.

See exploded view below. (3D drawing by Ken Mifune)

Thanks for the screen credit John.

this parts count is from an old thread...

Pit Lane pieces:
4) inside corner tiles
6) inside corner rails
2) outside corner tiles and rails

you'll have 1) straight tile left over.

Just bringing his thread back up because I am interested in building a pit lane for our track. If I could get a hold of the setup shown below, that would be awesome!
