Adding a spoiler (Need to know)

Greetings,

I’m purchasing my very first White Autoscale Body - a Honda (Acura) NSX. I’d like to add a spoiler. Does anyone have a thread I can review for how install a spoiler from scratch. Plus does anyone have a suggestion on where I can go and purchase a spoiler? I’ve attached some photos for reference.

Thank you all for your support for newbies like me.

You can try Hiro Garage. This fellow makes body kits for kyosho autoscale cars.
Here's one he made for the nsx... google Garage Hiro

There are a lot of options for other cars as well.

Good luck hope this helps.

I recently ordered this white body. I may need to design a spoiler for it... or make it by hand. It will be a while, my table is full at the moment with projects and time is limited. I will post pics when I get to it.

I just painted and added a PN wing to my 12C. FYI if you have any spare MR-02 parts on hand the tallest suspension limiter worked great for the two spoiler stand-offs/uprights. I ran the body on a 5500kv car, and liked it's handling characteristics much better than the 599 I was using previously. If you make a custom spoiler and use the existing body holes to mount the wing, they are 25mm center to center.

Spoiler

I'd suggest PN lexan wing or shapeways (search mini-z and you'll find a lot of spoilers)

Used a spoiler for Atomic RC

I found an Atomic RC spoiler p# AR085. Here are few photos. This was very first time masking and painting a car.

Fou might want to try adjusting the angle at which the wing sits. At this angle, it is likely to produce lift.

Looks real good otherwise, the wing looks perfect for the body.

I have an unpainted version of this body. I think it will be more neutral than the McLaren. I like its design for my driving style. Should be good for pro stock or maybe modified. The McLaren is too aggressive for modified without a huge rear wing. McLaren may be better for stock though.
