The big start button is the "start" button for each mode: there are 2 modes, top speed mode and time trial distance mode.
For top speed mode, your car has to have the wheels spinning then press start and it will start. I think you'll have 30 seconds to make the car go to it's highest speed.
To change mode, press the small button on the left.
For time trial distance mode, you have 300m to start with. You can change the distance with the small button the right. Then you have to have your car running to start this.
NML, I'll see I i can get photos of the instructions...
wedginator's right with the info.. thats pretty much all what you need to know.. Eventhough speed isnt accurate, its great for testing motor power level to see where you stand.. i can send you a copy if you want it..just email me with your address again..

How accurate/inaccurate are they?
I bought one a few weeks ago, it tells me my z can do 22 km/h, what rounding/ calculation/fixes do i need to do to to get a better answer? I mainly bought it to do comparitive tests, not to find an absolute top speed ...
The speed checker doesn't take the weight of the car into account, or the road friction. So the wheels are spinning at no load. I can make the speed checker read 70km/h easily by putting a big ass pinion gear. But putting a big pinion gear on the Z doesn't mean that the car can actually do "70" in the real world.
Add a fly wheel to the device some how, that you can add/remove weight too... so you can weigh yer car, and add the weight of your car to the fly wheel, it will be roughly more accurate...
