Yes, it's been up and running for some time. I had the intercooler modified as well as the fuel pump diaphragm to take the motor to just over 150 BHP.
Unfortunately the turbo plumbing (hoses) weren't quite up to the job and it's in with the specialist now, getting that part of the job done.
Other addtions are a Mini-ITX 1GHz PC and an 8½ touch screen LCD. In the not too distant future I'll install a satellite navigation system and satellite based Internet access (via a small portable manually positioned dish)
I've also fitted a hydraulic brake lock system for single handed winch operation.
This thing is a bigger money pit than any RC vehicle I've ever owned! My hobby has been on a slight back burner due to this 1:1 project.

The UK M.O.D. have stopped selling Wolf XD write-offs due to them needing spares as the UK forces are involved in two conflicts in Afgahnistan and Iraq, so they've used their quota of spares up and are now depending on "salvage" from write-offs to keep their overstrained fleet of XD's running.
Fortunately I got my fair share of (very hard to find) new and used parts before this legislation came into effect
Some more informed Land Rover type people claim the reason they're not selling the XD's off is more due to the "security issues" as these vehicles will be in active operation until 2009

I'll Post some photos in a few weeks once I've picked it up after the work is completed.

All the FFR (Fitted For Radio) kit, old bodyshell and tub ended up in a skip.
If you are interested in Wolf XD parts and even a complete vehicle, mail me at: mondo@yourmicro.com

Love the Truck
Hate the Orange

How much of an issue is it registering a right hand drive car over in the US?
I personaly would hate to drive a left hand drive car over her in Aus, and would understand why Driving a RHD would be a complete P in the A over there.

Arch.. how true.

Well the 110 Wolf got sold as an unfinished project. The buyer is a guy who specializes in collecting military vehicles.
As part of the deal he traded me a an equaly rare Land Rover Wolf XD90 (90 inch wheelbase) in mint condition with 61,000KM (+-38,000 Miles) on the odo.
Land Rover only made 811 of these and they are still in service with the British military.
I am informed that I have one of about only 6 of the genuine items in private ownership. I had to go thru some tedious processes getting it in my name regarding clearance etc (due to the current security climate)
Anyway, a photo is worth a zillion words
Warning: LARGE photos!

You're a Euro version of my father-in-law! He's got a couple Duece & 1/2's and Army dump trucks and a couple GP's and cool stuff like that. He drives a WW2 Army dump truck to work every day; it's got legal tags on it.

ChattavegasSE,

Fortunately I don't commute in the Land Rover. It's reserved for the weekend Nitro RC related runs (as a pit vehicle) and a monthly off road session with the local LR club.
It's quite capable of doing a ton and cruises nicely at 60-70 mph. In summer it's nice to remove the side mounted spare and canvas top and cruise around topless. It's a true multifunction vehicle! :¬P
