mclaren 12cgt3

just got mine... looks really beautiful...

pet peeve.... looks like the rear wheel wells are to high... guess i'll have to do some lowering somewhere

also looks like the splitter towards the front wheel well is the first thing to go during a fender to fender or sidewall collision

Body weight? Hood vents open to underside or blocked off? Headlight covers flush mounted or slightly recessed? Nose kibble molded in or added on? Photo of body underside? Please! Especially the front.

dummy chassis... well not that it matters (to me at least)... but looks like kyosho has kinda lightened the newer dummy chassis by not adding a cover to it... (top old chassis, bottom new chassis) i guess that kyosho will save a bit by doing away with the cost it takes to make the cover...

Perhaps I didn't make myself clear enough. My apologies. I would like to see the underside of the "body" not the chassis.

How about the other questions?

Great pictures, and that is a good looking body. I agree that the rear end needs to be lowered a tad though

it was only a matter of time. i don't know of anyone besides myself and maybe 2 others that have used the battery tray in the dummy chassis to support lighted autoscale display.

sorry... i was composing my dummy chassis post when you got to post your question... and i guess when i hit submit... your post got in before mine did... thus my post didn't actually mean to address your questions...

now lets see... body weight... i will have to find my scale first... a good and very pertinent question, feels lighter than my petronas sc430 though, but i may be wrong...

hood vents are well blocked off... the one on the front fenders go through... there is something like an air scoop at the back, just before the rear spoiler... it is slotted through, and may have an effect of bringing some air into the body...

the rear edge of the rear windshield (the side closest to the air scoop) doesn't completely connect to the body... there is like a 2-3mm space between the body and the windshield in that area... i guess a picture would be indeed better... you can actually see it in the rear view picture i posted (4th pic, post #2)

headlight lenses are quite flush with the body, and there are lightbuckets where you could add led lights if you wanted to (just front though, no rear)

as for the nose, the front lip is part of the car's moulding (or is it molding?), pretty much like the ferrari 360, and the newer lexus sc 430... it does have two winglets on both sides that are added (not moulded or is it molded?), so i highly suspect that they can and may come off in a head on collision...

i do hope to get another one if and when i get the time... believe the yellow one is also a looker... i think this will easily become one of my favorites...

i will try to post some more pics... its 1:53am over here... lol...

I see that front splitter being wedged under an RCP rail if you run the car quite low. For now I will watch others drive it as I am heavily invested in the Audi R8 but I do love McLaren's.

When the white bodies come out, the front will get trimmed down for me.
