I chose Mod A, but would prefer the same specs but with plastic bodies only, but there was no non-lexan choice.

Maybe after this poll is active for a few days we can do a seperate stock and mod poll to figure out what individual rules people like for the classes that survive?

Sooper Stocking stuffer B and the super mod (this will let us see fun basement creations). For F1 super stock...the car is too long to turn properly with the standard diff.
Where are the OL classes?

excellent choices accept for the lexan in super stock. This gets into to many down options, arguments.Remember this should be to attract more racers. We gotta start at the bottom so to speak and work our way up.Maybe next year when and if we,ve got a couple hundred racers!!!!! we can add more options and classes.

exactly, start small and simple and build on that. lets face it, there will not be that many locations or participants likely for the initital run. it will take a season or two to draw a consistent and large crowd.

there is an option up there for super stock, kyosho chassis no lexan, if your going through the trouble of having an aftermarket chassis, you can produce lexan as well. as far as i know the pro-z cars come with lexan and no way to mount an autoscale body

First of all, I'd like to know what is "box" stock since at one point it was brought up that other R/Cs would be tossed into the mix. After all, does box stock include all MR-01s, MR-015s, MR-02s, IW-01s, IW-01 Pros, IW-02s, IW-02 Pros, Xmods or what?
Perhaps, after you guys actually figure out what is going to be run in this so-called race, I'll just grab one of my R/Cs and participate if I feel like it by then. Meanwhile, I may just enter one of PN's races since they've already posted the 2005 rules on the PN Racing website. The same for the XRL Tournament and Kyosho too if they hold races in 2005.

it would be my understandign that each chassis would have it's own class
maybe it's just me but there seems to eb an underlying sense of doom/negativity regarding this effort maybe i'm just misunderstanding some of the stuff, which is alwasy a possiblity.
i do hope the pn series goes well, the planned cp race as well... this dosn't mean there isn't room for another series

Here is what I posted on the other thread--I guess it sums up how I feel since they don't fit into the current poll.

I think those classes need to be re-thought. How about a mod class that resembles a mini-z? How about an f1 class that resembles a Kyosho F1? The Kyosho open classes were good with x-speed rules and would be good "middle" classes here. Then you could have unlimited or pro classes abobe that with lexan, FETs, big motor, etc. If you start introducing the trick stuff early in the classes, you start diluting them. You will also end up limiting the number of people who already have capable cars around the US and Canada.

what is the difference between box stock and super stock b?
and how about a k-cup class, like the k-cup rules, with only Kyosho mods allowed. this will include cross-breeding of mr-01, mr-02, and f-1 parts, as long as they are authentic Kyosho parts.
