Red face V2 Turbo / New Steering Servo gears

Just thought I would let you all know how good the V2 Turbo is - very happy with it. Been playing about with the setup of the car today - found the 9 tooth drive gear was the best when running the S02 motor. The torque increase is noticeable and allows the car to accelerate to a rather high speed in a short space of time.

Now for the second point - I managed to have a rather spectacular crash which resulted in the breakage of the steering servo gear - the part that connects the rack to the servo gears - just looks like cheap plastic parts are the problem.

Any suggestions as to what replacement item is the best?

I am in the UK so whatever it is must be available by air mail.

Thanks

Simon.

If you are talking about the gear that has the little knob that sticks out on top, that is the 1st servo gear. This will do for you I think....

Shipping in the U.S. is only a couple of days, so add a few (I'm sure) for where you are. This price is cheaper than Japan and shipping from japan was more than the part (for me anyway).

Cheers,

Pianoman

Oh, you can get alloy gears too, but they can break as well but cost 10 times more...I just buy a bunch of these to have on hand if one breaks. I'm down to my last few so I'd better order, too!

x777cat, perhaps give the RACER Strong First Servo Gear Set and Elastic Tie Rod Set a try, they are redesigned for less breakage.

Alternately, go Alloy:

We're out of the GPM Alloy Servo Gear at present though:

We're happy to ship to the UK, ask any of our UK members!
