Work in Progress: Toyota Altezza
Hey guys. I just started my custom Altezza body after receiving it in the mail today. Here are some pics of the body assembled and of the custom (crappy) "H" plate I made out of silver carbon fiber.
I will update this thread as I progress with this project. I hope you guys like it.

I got a little more work done today on the body. I fabricated a new H Plate that extended the wheelbase a few more millimeters for a perfect fit.
I was also able to mount the body on the chassis Mini-Z style using the front and side clips, which surprised me.
Here's a couple more pics:

Well, I kinda lost interest in this project since I have had a busy senior semester in high school. The Christmas break gives me a chance to catch up on things and that's exactly what I'm going to do!
I started to paint the body the same color as my car but realized that it would look much better with some fender flares. So I grabbed some molding putty/epoxy and whipped some up. I only have the left side done so far and it looks killer.
Here's some pics:

Going to manually kitt your mini-z... you've got bitten by the bug bad. Can't wait to see how well it turns out.

An 02MM Altezza. Impressive.
I just started a custom Altezza project too, but I'm starting with the Kyosho Autoscale body. It's looking good. Keep us updated on your progress.

Well, I just finished the right side fender flares. I got them pretty close to size of the left ones. Now I just have to wait for the stuff to dry so I can sand and paint.

Nice ride, T Man. Looks sharp. I really like those rims too! One of my bros had rims like that on his old '56 BelAir. Maybe I should try those on my PT Pickup.

Ok, I just got it all sanded and primed. The primer really brings out the imperfections of the flares, so I'm going to have to do even more sanding later. It's shaping up though!

Well, I just finished putting together the chassis that this body is going to sit on. I really need to make another H-plate but the one I have now does the job well enough.
I'm going to have to place a special order for some Z-Speed wheels since the front wheels are MR-01 CLK offset and the rears are Enzo offset. These offsets sit perfectly flush with the added fender flares.
More pics!
