Bought an mr02. Reaaally wish I could put a Cooper body on it. Did some searching around, found that the mr02s are wider in the front. Found this link..
The "PN Racing Mini-Z MR02 Alm Front Tower Bar Set" to convert mr02 -> mr15 up front. Also states the midpoint of the body has to be at least 59mm.
First question – do I need to buy this front tower bar set to fit a mr15 body, or is this just correcting the offset issue? Second - Anyone got a Cooper body and know if they're at least 59mm? (What about the Porsche 934 bodies? They're very tastey.)
The Cooper comes "HM". Can you run it MM?
Basically, want to know if it can be done before I buy the body. Willing to do some minor trimming if need be.. And if need be, then I might as well buy the white body and do a cool kustom paintjob.
The problem with the MM setup is the wheelbase is too long. The good thing is the HM set will fit the MR02 and use the same diff, the bad part is you would have to buy that to go with the other stuff. Yes, it is worth it. You may as well get the RM parts so you have all three setups. It is a good thing that the MR015 and MR02 share the same design.
Porsche 934's don't fit perfectly but they will fit stretched. Meaning that the sides of the body will bulge out. There are pictures on this site, do a search for 934 and see what you come up with. The 935 is the same way. Also Porsche 934 and 935 are 86mm wheel base. You can see pictures of mine in my gallery.
