RMZR at Railyard Hobbies...

Had an in depth discussion with Paul at Railyard yesterday, just to keep you all in the loop, here's his plan as if now.

Railyard will have their own rental Mini-Z RCP track soon, he is planning to order some starter chassis for rentals. I have given him some recommendations for this (80turn motors, alloy knuckles, tough racer bodies, etc...). He is more than likely going to order his own Core lap counting system based on the price and availability of the transponders.

Our part will be resetting the track for our club races and adding our sections to it. We will be racing there this coming Sunday the 19th as an introduction race so if you can make it, please do so!

I have discussed the option of one of our members setting up there on a regular schedule, he is ok with that but obviously we will all need to pitch in with manning the track and getting races going. I already have the promise of help from somenof you guys but this will be a club effort so you will all need to pitch in time wise to help out. I'm not looking for 4 nights a week or anything like that, but if one of us can cover 1 Sunday there a month, we will have an avenue to get a real race program going there in no time!

There is interest there, I talked to a few slot car guys there and some other racers and thet would really prefer to have an on-road RC program there as well as everything else they already have. I think we are going to fit in there quite nicely, plus we will definitely get much more exposure with an above ground race program.

Any ideas, post here, text me, call me, smoke signals... whatever, but I wanna hear what you all think.

Thanks Ray! Do you have any Core systems available for sale yet? The shop owner is shopping for his own system.

I have Ray's Core system. I can bring it up on Raceday if you want. Talk to Ray about it and let me know.

Glad you're coming up again! A bit less of a drive for you too! (maybe 10 or 15 less anyways) Thanks K!

We are only going to charge members who ask if there is a charge.

Honestly, not entirely sure. It's all stilll in the works yet, but I will have more info by Monday. If this takes off, I would obviously expect a race fee eventually.
