Hey Jim, it's Richmond! We definitely had a nice "time attack" session yesterday. Hopefully Ron will keep the course for a couple of weeks more.

yeah... that was great! I only stopped in to tune and test my car, and within an hour we had enough drivers for a heat right in the middle of a work day! Thats the kind of driving that helps you best!

...next thing we need to do is test the speedy '05 against '07 both using 7 tooth pinion, fresh 900mah batteries, and both at 67 on the throttle epa.

01/11/08 Friday night
I POSTED THE WRONG DATE ON THE TOPIC-->> SHOULD BE 01/19/08
In the C mains, John C drove past Markus by 8 secs to bump into the Bmains. Markus raced with his custom 2.4 spectrum MR-02 - Nice!!!!!!!
In the B mains, LarryP beats the field by 3 laps and bumps into the A Mains. Way to go Larry.
Tim edges Dave for the A Main win by almost 6 secs. Steve takes third. Jimr used good qualifying times to join the A main field for the first time, however finishing in the top 3 proved a bit harder. Jimr and Larryp closed the amains in 4th and 5th.
Mini-z cooper class was tight. All cars finished on the same lap. Again Tim was the car to beat and no one caught him on this night. Dave had second and Ron had third.

Thanks for the post Jim.That was one helluva race for sure. It definitely pays to practice constantly not to mention having awesome people like you, Ron, Steve, Bill and the rest of the crew to help you out and guide you to the right direction.
The track is surely producing good drivers and some with great potential!
When can we see the next "Jim and Steve" battle? Hope you're feeling better by the way.

What a race for the C main, which was won by Jose (Silver Star). Markus led the race from lap 1 for 27 laps, only to be passed within the last .75 sec of the race. My heart goes out to you man, but you also have to give it to Jose, who stayed with it!! Nice! I noticed you had 25 laps Jose..wasnt that the goal?
The B main had 7 lead changes between the same 2 drivers. Congrats to Steve Maizer who took the last lead with 1.75 seconds remaining, and held on to bump up to the A mains!
Ron won the A mains with a 37 lap effort. (looks like Ron has that look in his eye again) Tim had 2nd with 36, Dave followed in 3rd.
Friday was Mini-Coopers again.
Tim took 1st with 33 laps, Ron in 2nd, with Dave in 3rd. Dave lost his roof along the way, and finished in convertable style!
