Me and matt tested out these bodies and like everyone else, tire clearance in the front is an issue. I will lift the rim, body parts, and trimming rule. But there will be a 175 gram weight limit. That of coarse includes batteries.

Nope, didn't cross my mind 2 try that. I ran my set up with the wheels that came with the body and after a little trimming and using the tallest limiters, it still rubs a little but doesn't seem 2 effect it much. I also tried with and without the wing and it seem 2 drive better without it.

As long as it's after the HFAY race, that should be fine with me.

The new PN interchangeable mount system could help this issue.

Not likely, it is currently just a club race, though of course anyone is invited.

Edit: If this works out well, I wouldn't mind making a series of it.

I'm good with that, just name the date. I take it we will hold this race at Awesoms rc?

I just ordered one for mine although at the track Saturday I was able to trim a little with a dremel and solve the issue.

Until I talked to Ringer this weekend I thought it was going to be a series, I must have gotten it mixed up with the bimmer one we were talking about.

One other thing we takled about was having a weight limit instead of not allowing modification to the body since me and Ringer both took a demel to the car to make the wheels clear the fenders. Also, the cars drive much better without the huge wing on the roof.

We decided the weight limit should be 175g. It would be tuff to get below this unless you took drastic measures. My car weighted 178g and Ringers was around 177g. This was without the rear wing.

i just use 0 offset for the front wheels, doesn't look so nice but it does handle well...less steering but once i remove the rear wing..it drives just as i want it...

Rear kyosho 20 and front PN 25

we here in Malaysia thinking of the same race too...

p/s: the gold color car is mine
