Does anyone have one of these? I was thinking about getting one for the swimming pool.

Anyone of these "whats"??? Do you mean the Catamaran or the Formula boat?
The Catamaran Boat is coming out soon I hope and it will probably run better than the Formula boat series. The catamaran has the upgraded battery and
the hull design if much better for rougher water. I will be modding the
Catamaran as soon as it comes out. If you buy either one, you will NEED
the Aquaspeed motor and propeller set as these make a huge difference on the boats.................

I have two of the formula boats. I've been racing cars too much to mess with these. I have the aquaspeed motor, prop kit, and trim tabs for each of them.

I'd be willing to get rid of them cheap if anyone wants them.

They dont. it is just the sponsor and perhaps the Engines in the boat.
I have seen Lambo engines in the marine market used in offshore boat
in Europe.

Note that the lamborghini is not Mini-Z scale... the two drivers inside are much smaller even smaller than epoch size...

My LHS sells the Mini-Z boat's, but I can't imagine those being popular here. Unless you have a swimming pool, there is no real place to race those in Colorado Springs.

I got my Cat the other day, the aquaspeed motor and prop set.
I may not get a chance to test it until the weather warms up a little.
I also have the Formula boat and I am very happy with the performance after addng the aquaspeed motor and upgraded the battery.
From what I experienced the aquaspeed runs best with the stock prop. I will keep experimenting. I do so enjoy the experimenting.
As far as battery choice, I use a 300mah built for the Firebird airplanes by HobbyZone and I charge them with the Mini-T wall charger.(The blue one w/blue led)which is also an excellant choice for charging the stock battery because the trailer charger does not put out a consistant charge as the batteries in the trailer discharge. And they do discharge quick.
I use a single 12vdc automotive directional bulb to discharge my batteries and condition them. Wow what a difference. But I highly recommend to get a stop watch, time the charge and also the discharge. Keep charging the battery 15 seconds longer than the last time until you find that discharge time starts to decrease. You now found your best charge time and with the Mini-T charger it is constant and reliable.
You may disagree with my method of freezing my batteries before and after charging/discharging but it works well for me.
I am getting exactly 5 minutes of race worthy speed.
4 minute races can be especially easily achieved. The charge time is probably around 6 or 7 minutes but it was last year so Im not recolecting exactly how long it was . But It's not like Mini-Z cars that charge for as much as three times that which is a positive note for the boats.
A final note: a 12' by 20' oval will put into prospective just how fast these boats really are. I promised a video last year but I didn't find the time however it has not dropped off my priority list.

The weather looked like it was starting to warm up nicely here in the Boston area, but it's getting cold again...sheesh!
