WOW you've all been busy... or i have, i just spent the last hour catching up on posts.

We just completed May's HFAY and love this track. Super fast and smooth... and i like it even better because i got a personal best laps count... not tellin ya.

I know we are early in May, but are closing series 27 up soon, and what a fantastic season it has been. WOW 65 participants (up just a bit from 10 a year ago or so), from I believe 9 clubs (welcome back Burncity), and I think we'll have 3 or more coming back (Salt Lake, Wa DCGTG, and DAMZ?). Plus had 11 racers hitting over 100 laps in April. That is amazing. We have loved the participation level booming again and all the input to help make this event even better.

Series 28 rules and track choices are in other threads presently, so be sure to go post your track votes and rule changes as soon as possible. Let's use the end of May as the deadline for series 28 track choices.

Should we / can we use end of May as the deadline for series 28 rules changes? Looks like we are all pretty close to decisions on rule changes. I will post my thoughts over on that thread.

Thanks to everyone who is posting. These are super helpful. And for Brian for ongoing guidelines and direction. And lastly, special thanks to Blaine for the tireless hours he has put into his software for all of us in the hobby, and even other clubs (slot car) are using it now. He has spent TONS of hours, for what was originally started for a few guys to track their laps in a ol pizza joint... back when just barely 3 of us showed up.

here's a portion of our May race from over the weekend (full race video will be after the May results are posted ).

https://youtu.be/sXixpM1-hbo

We didn't do quite as well as previous months. The rhythm section in particular seemed to be challenging and there were quite a few hang ups in that area.

We're Back !!

Yes you heard that right. the May track fit and we got our first 2 races of HFAY for Season 27 done. there were only 3 of us. We had 1 great race in the Clockwise direction. Our CCW races was way off pace as we only ran a few laps of practice and put it in the book at 11pm.

I'm excited to see how we did against all the new guys running now.

Glad to have you back! Tri-Cities just finished our third HFAY season. We are excited that it is gaining momentum again. We are having fun, and making progress, but we seem to be having a hard time finding pace. Even our best laps are more than 1 second off the top drivers' pace. After we finished races 9 and 10 we are hoping a couple of us at least stay in the top 20. We struggled with this layout a bit. I always want to see the results as soon as we finish, so even as a very middle of the pack racer, it is fun to be part of something bigger than our 3 person club.

Malibu's times for May are posted! Fast laps for our races were (Mugler) 3.872 for CW and 3.939 for CCW. Tomorrow we shall see how things shake out. Great job to all the other clubs and racers. Looking forward to Season28 coming up!

May races have been posted, but there is a little blip in the system with Burncity mini z's times being input 3 times. Admin is working on it. stay tuned.

View Season 28 Kickoff for the new season info. This will be the main page for the new season.

not sure what happened to our times. I emailed Blaine. It was probably my error but I did upload them on the June 2nd.

I fixed salt lakes and burn cities times.

I made top 10! I'm sure it will be hard to keep it next season with the sheer numbers of racers. I'm excited to see what season 28 brings from us all!

Congratulations to the podium racers!

Seriously impressive clockwise results for Salt Lake City !! As mentioned making it to top 10 alone will be an achievement for season 28 speaking of which a couple out loud thoughts... would be nice if all but specially clubs who have even one driver ranked in the top 20 made the effort to run both directions true to racing format and spirit of HFAY & at the same time since that's not enforceable if the previously discussed results filtering could be implemented to show stand alone rankings for clockwise and anti-closckwise would be a nice addition. In lieu of filtering function perhaps separate CW and ACW charts below the overall charts would do just as nicely if not better.

The other item is wait and see kinda of a thing as far as seeing if and by what degree the open class will split participation between the two classes....at Malibu Mini-Z the plan is to run both classes in both directions but anyway by default season 28 will be the test ground for that question.

Yes, great results from Salt Lake City. Also a great run from MikeT of SEOZ as well breaking into the top 5 for the first time. Going to be an interesting season 28.

Since results are posted now, here's a full video of one of our races from May (excuse the occasional audio commentary )
