Hi all,
I finally received my RM015 and I am enjoying so much~!
I have one problem though.
I chose RM015 thinking that it has good motor power/accel/push.
I find my RM015 spinning its tail out almost everytime I make turn with it.
I also learned that the stock tire that came with the ready set I got is just complete crap.
I am pretty sure that with new set of wheel and tires will help me reduce spinning out my tails all the time.
I am after new set of tires and wheels but all these offsets/sizes are throwing me off.
Also when I look up products, RM015 products aren't well categorized.
I assume that RM02 stuffs are compatible with RM015 but I want to get some help here and order the correct stuffs for my RM015.
MY RM015 has narrow front and rear wheels/tires. I would like to try putting on wider tires and wheels if there are such compatible wheel sets/tires.
I guess wider means more stable?
So please help me find a good set of wheels and tires for my RM015~~

pretty glad that you are enjoying your new hobby... most mr02 stuff are compatible with the mr015 stuff... as far as rim offsets go, some wide rears might stick out a bit due to their offset... so it will depend on what body you have... what body did you get? and yes wider rims do help stability a bit...
you would also want to look at softer tires (measured in shore or degrees look for 20-30 in front and 10-20 in the back), but they don't last as long as harder tires... it will also depend where you run your car, and if you race....
Please enlighten me with what size wheelbase mini-z I have.
Here are few more info.
Mini-Z All in One Package (Readyset)
Comes with Mini-Z Racer MR-015 pre-built chassis , Painted Body, Wheel-type PERFEX 2ch Radio Controller, 4 different size of pinion gears.
*Equipped with a new RA-4B FET, one-piece unit including receiver and high-power amp delivers sharp pick up and higher maximum speed.
p.s. I ran my Z on asphalt today and it ran like it was glued to the surface! I've never ran on the RCP track but I find my stock tires are good for asphalt at least! Just thought I'd share that
p.s.s Please excuse my denseness on mini-z world We gotta start somewhere dont' we?
I ran an FD3S for a long time with wide rear tires. You need 0 offset narrow front with 20-25* tires, and 0 offset wide rears with 10* tires, and this thing will drive quite nicely.
I wish I had another FD3S, I miss mine alot

Not trying to pick on you, but I see a lot of people post tire duromotors without posting the producer of the tire. The duromoter of the tires is only useful when specifying the company that produces them. I would love to see someone drive with 20d kyosho slicks on the front and 10d 3Racing rear tires. The car would just spin... Every companys rating is only suitable to that specific company. 20d Kyosho are very different from 20d PN, or 20d Atomic.
I drove the RX-7 for a while. I used 1mm narrow front wheels with 3Racing 10d front tires (these tires push), with 2mm narrow Atomic TS rear wheels with narrow 8d PN Radials. A good alternative for the front tires would be Atomic 40d AW tread. Depending on the grip level of the track. On a high grip track the 40d AW tires work perfect (after they wear in of course). At my home track which has less rear grip, the 3Racing tires work perfectly. The PN 20d or 25d slicks should also work well for the front tires.
I find that the narrow rear wheels work very well on the 015. I run them on all of my 015 setups.
The stock tires do work well on asphalt and concrete... Surprised me as well. I think they work better than the tires used for RCP. If you are not racing on RCP, then you can forget about the tires i listed above, you will have to play around to find what works best for your surface. My setup will work on RCP well.

Sorry EMU, I never thought to specify brand. I like the Atomic slick for the front, and the Atomic treaded (A.W. or straight grooved) for the rear.

I like the 20 and 30d AW rear tires, dont like the straight grooved though. I am waiting for a bunch of Slick-R tires, to see how they compare. I have mainly been using Kyosho 20d rear tires. I have grooved a couple sets as well...
