BIG Reason to shop @ Mini-ZRacer.com and NOT elsewhere

First of all, Mini-Z, I hope you'll allow me to post this other seller's name, for I intend to speak of his bad service.

I ordered a GPM alloy rear heat sink mount for my motor (the clip that holds the motor onto the motor mount) from D.i.n.b.a.l.l.com. When it arrived, it was simply tossed into a small paper envelope and sent - thus - it arrived squashed flat. I attempted to bend it back into place, but the clip already had stress marks in it where it had bent, and when I tried to bend it back, it snapped! Now to say the least, I was pretty upset. I paid $2.50 s/h on this item on top of the purchase price. For those that don't know, this doesn't weigh but like a feather. Anyway, I emailed Ronny at D.i.n.b.a.l.l.com and he offered to send me a replacement, provided I send him pictures of the broken item and that I pay ANOTHER shipping and handling charge! I was rescued by Russ who offered me a replacement, so I emailed Ronny back and told him to simply refund me the purchase price. Ronny emailed back and said fine, but then told me that he was deduct the paypal fees on the transaction from my refund (3% of total, + $.30).

Needless to say, I was a little miffed. I emailed back and said no, if he had properly packaged the item to begin with, we wouldn't be in this situation. I told him to put my previous $2.50 for s/h toward the paypal fees and refund my full purchase price. He basically emailed back and said he would do it, but called me a liar, an internet newbie, and that he doesn't have to package it properly, he doesn't have a refund policy, and that if I want to fuss I should pay for insurance.

This whole situation has bittered me on D.i.n.b.a.l.l.com. Another seller in Hong Kong told me to beware of him AFTER I placed my order. Looking back, I would have ordered from Mini-Z if he had them in stock, but for some reason I just didn't want to wait on a special order. Looking back, I wish I had waited on the special order though. I've dealt with Mini-Z before and he's good to do business with. He also understands ethical business standards.

I did end up getting my refund, but only after I was occused and insulted. Please, I urge other members of this board to think long and hard before placing orders with him.

Thanks,

John

P.S. I've included a pic of the broken clip.

I have actually had very different experiences with this place. The one complaint I have is that Ronny's English is a little poor and I was led to believe that the return shipping was free. It wasn't, I had to pay the return shipping because the free shipping was only if you sent the ESC only for reapir and I sent the whole car. I paid for normal shipping but he upgraded it to Speedpost for free. Other than that minor glitch, I have no beef with D******. I ordered a whole bunch of stuff and also 3 sets of bearings and 2 X-Speeds. I could only find 2 sets and 1 X-Speed, so I emailed back and he sent replacement bearings and motor, then I found the other set of bearings.

I'm glad you had good experiences. I probably wouldn't be so upset if I had felt I wasn't being cheated for money around each corner. Even then, I would not have been so upset, except for what I deemed as an extremely negative attitude I received from Ronny.

My experience with them

I got these GPM tires from the 4 sets 8 tires total. And they only ended up shipping me 4 tires. I emailed Danny. and he was very understanding about it and told me they usually keep track of their shipment but they didn't with my order. I got my other 4 sets of tires a week later and he paid for the second shipping.
Over all it was pretty good. I also got my ready set from them and it was a decent price.. the shipping packaging wasn't that good but my car came in one piece so it was all good. Now I know I shouldn't order any parts from them that would bend or break(alloy) But tires are no problem

Wow! We really overdo it on packaging, as we want to avoid this kind of thing. Sorry you had such a bad experience, and thanks for the positive feedback for our Shop!

Yep, I can agree there. Mini-Z does overdo it with the packaging material. Not that I'm complaining

There was packing filler in the mini-power box with my MR-S as well as outside it!! I wasn't expecting a box 5x the size of the mini-power box when I received it!!

The overpackaging doesn't matter...
You still have to open the door for the mailman, he can't stuff a mini-Z in your mailbox no matter how you pack it.

Better a larger package then a broken part.
I had a internet-delivery DOA once and it can be hell to set things straight via e-mail.
