Red face Remember when......?

I was going through the forums and just started thinking of the good ol' days.

remember those good ol' days?

remember when...

When a turbo was the stuff and you weren't cool if you didn't have one? now people are doing fet replacement and all that craziness.

remember when the x-speed was the best motor to have and was what everyonne recomended?

remember when wed glues his hand to his mini-z so he had to go to school with a car stuck on his hand?

remember when NML first started making motors and everyone was in disbelief?

remember when alloy motor mounts were the coolest thing ever? Now everyone has them...

sheesh those were the days.....

I remember Hankster's old RC forum. It was one of the first forums I found talking (in english atleast) about the Z. I'm not claiming anything but it was there, that I suggested using heavy lube in the stock diff. Afterwards, I saw more and more sites with that information. ...whatever...
After that, I posted heavily in GPZway, then MartiniRacing...
and now here at the coolest Mini-Z forum on the globe!
It's mostly great because of the personalities, and Dave of course.
Great job Dave.

wow, guess everyone's a bit nostalgic at heart.....
i can still remember how sad i was when i reversed the
battery polarity on my mini-z and fried the fets......
(not that i even knew they were fets back then)
and i can still remember how happy i was to get
my replacement z with no body or transmiter for 45dollars
from ************...
and how even happier i was when american express
paid me back for my broken z with it's 90day purchase protection...
sigh.......yeah, kinda like what porscheguy said....
now we're all brave enough to take out the pcb every other day
and completely replace the fets........
...
i still remember when i was debating over which tamiya
mini4wd motor to get..........

Memory lane

Do you remember:

Justin from Australia?
He had a Carson Speedy 24 and raved that it was better than a Mini-Z
Then it broke.
He then fitted a custom Lotus Europa bodyshell to his 'Z and then dissapeared into the sunset

How shocked and amazed we were by InitialDeezanutz (NML) 56 mph ABC DTM video?
