What are these?

I found this while looking at mini-z stuff. I apologize for the atomicmod link.

I just have never seen these before. Does anyone have a picture of this installed on an MR-03?

they are shocks instead of springs...i can't remember who around here has tried them but they are described as not bad but not too much more of a benifit

The R246 shocks are typically crap, so I was actually looking into converting SAS dampers for use on those arms. Threaded preload adjustment on the front end, yummy...

Pro tip: you can search by part number (that you found on another site etc.) in the shop box here:

Just start typing "R246-1342" and you'll see it pop up (no need to hit enter or anything - it's all AJAXy and stuff).

If you want to be really cool you can even use the Shop Search Code feature, like this:

R246-1342

or this:

Route 246 Front Individual Oil Shock

We don't have any reviews posted for it at present in the shop, so if someone would like to write one...first one to open a support ticket asking for it gets a $10 discount in exchange for a review in the shop/forums...!

I have that installed on my mr-03. Be careful if you drive around with no body though. If you hit something hard enough, you'll bend the cross brace. right now, i'm using a narrow setup, stiff springs and light shock oil. I ditched the roll bar and use Kyosho's polished kingpins. I'm getting a lot less front bounce on the straights.
