Raceday January 19th, at Railyard...
As I said in the other thread, were gonna set up down at Railyard on Sunday the 19th this month. Now his store hours say 11am to 6pm on the one website, I will call to confirm this. I do plan to get down there the day before to get the track set up so if anyone is available to help... please do so!
Anyone who doesn't help will get laps deducted from their Sunday races.

Do your tires still get traction on that dirt oval in sub-zero temps?
Two words... Polar Vortex
=
No Racing!
I hate how the weather guys just have to have the catchiest most perilous sounding names for simple weather changes nowadays. Don't go to school today kids, the Polar Vortex will suck your lungs out right after it instantly freezes your winky off!!! Stay home and watch TV for all the possible updates you can imagine and make sure you soak up all those commercials too! Actually surprised they haven't tried naming this weather "event" yet, maybe something like Polar Vortex Gertrude!
Come back Greg! I'm sure we'll have plenty of newbies to bash with soon!

Listen up!
Racing:
We will begin racing this coming Sunday at 11am! Paul said that he should be there a bit earlier so if you want to show a bit earlier too, we'll be there.
Setup:
I will be heading down there 1:30pm Saturday afternoon to get us all set up and make sure everything is ready to go for Sunday, you are all more than welcome to come help and maybe horse around on the track a bit.
I will text this to those who's number I have too.

THANKS TO ALL!
I just want to say it's really good to see everyone pitch in like they do for our little club! I wouldn't even have considered getting this going down there by myself. I think we've got a new home, pretty sure it's clear to you guys as well. Paul gave us a place to store the track, his own track is on it's way and he's already looking at stocking option parts too... with everything that's going on right now in 1/28th, I'm almost certain that our ranks will grow.
In the obvious interest in new start-ups, we will be developing a new Stock Class in alignment with the eventual rental fleet that wil be sure to develop there. It won't be a box stock class, but it will be damn near it.
I'm thinking:
6 tooth pinion only
Alloy knuckles
80 turn or box stock motors
Spec T-plates
Ball or stock diff
Bearings
MR01, MR02 or MR03, 94-98mm only
This all depends on which route he goes with the rentals, but that's about where we should be for newbies.

K... Monster thanks to you especially! Excellent to have someone troubleshoot the laptop and get our program back up and running. Thanks for running a few races and talking to some of the newbies as well, wouldn't have been the same without you!
