Here's the deal on the MR02 conversion... I have made a few already (4); one with the use of the PN racing long T-bar (BTW it works great!). Parts needed as follows:
A. one of the MZF201 clear chassis
B. MZ202- the reason for this is, you need the small plastic tabs that hold the PCB board leads to the battery connection.
C. You also need an MZ203 front suspension parts set
D. MZ205 servo saver assembly
E. Believe it or not, one of the most important parts is MZ8-3 servo gear shaft set. If you look at the instructions of the exploded view of the car, you need to use the very small brass washer to keep the steering pot in place. The first usage of the small spacer was used in the F1.
Using heavier front springs and the stainless steel king pins is a plus but not necessary. Oops, also buy the MR02 screw set. You can use your MR01 rear motor pod and you will have your conversion.
On the PCB board, you will need to shorten the two main power wires and use two motor lead ends. And that should do the trick!
For the underneath of the car, in the instructions, you will see a spacer that comes with the MZ204 set. What I used, that fits perfect, is two stock front wheel bushings side-by-side, and that's the perfect thickness and spacing for usage with any of the carbon fiber H-plates.
For the wheels, you must use a zero off-set front wheel and a wide rear wheel and that's the perfect spacing for bodies like the CLK and the NSX, among others.
The other MR01 part that can be used for this conversion is the roll shock. Not necessary but compliments the car well.
Ok boys and girls, I hope this answers all your questions about this conversion. Pictures will follow.
PS: If you have any questions, drop a post and I'll try to answer as soon as I can.
