When ever i have used a sharpie to paint plastic it seems to fade off quickly...

What about paint markers? ones used on models?

Use whatever you desire that meets your expectations, be it Sharpie or finger paint. Just be realistic with expectations of whatever you choose.

My kids have done Sharpie jobs before. The colors have an odd shine to them overall. I would use Gundam markers before Sharpie but in the end, it will all get knocked off if bumping into things.

They are more ‘art’ cars vs. painted cars. I tried asking Kyosho how someone outside of JPN buys those and was told I could not.
